This position starts at $23.21/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have open positions for first shift.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Duties:
- Fabricates parts and equipment from designs, drawings and sketches submitted from the director of engineering. Scope of fabrication ranges from minor equipment guards to complete multifunction equipment.
- Makes repairs and rebuilds equipment for and under the direction of the maintenance supervisor.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electric motors, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Trouble-shoot analysis/logical thinking skills.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling equipment, using hoists, cranes, as well as hand and power tools.
- Adjusts functional parts of machinery and control instruments.
- Controls downtime by contributing to the team effort, by accomplishing related maintenance as needed.
- Basic electric & knowledge of electrical components. Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Maintains all equipment under the direction of the maintenance Supervisor.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by supplying clear and accurate information on request.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks within the shop.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to stand in one place for 30% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
- Capability to walk throughout department for 70% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
- Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms
- Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms
- Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend and reach
